Evie's 2nd Birthday

Evie turned 2 January 15th. We started the morning by having chocolate chip cupcakes and chasing the balloons around the house. Then we all got ready and headed to Navy Pier. Becky, Jack and Alina met us at Build a Bear. Evie made a bunny(named it Babs), Aiden made Alvin the Chipmunk, Jack made a Koala bear and Alina made a cat. They had to stuff it, give it a bath, pick out an outfit and make it a birth certificate. After the kids were finished we let them all run around the Children's Museum for a bit. Then we headed to Hub 51 for lunch. After lunch we headed home and Evie took a long nap. I made truffle mac and cheese with BLTs for dinner. After the cake Evie opened all her gifts. She had a great day and we feel very blessed to have her in our lives!

New Years Eve

We went to The McDonald's for a New Years Eve get together with the kids. They live a couple blocks from us so it was a nice walk to and from home. The kids had a yummy dinner and cookie cake. They played for a bit then they all got in PJ's and watched a movie. The adults had fun snacking on yummy apps and sipping on some wine and champagne:) Once it reached 10 we ended up walking home since the kids were so tired. It was a perfect way to ring in the new year with great friends!

New Year's Eve

The day after Christmas we went to St Joe to celebrate with the rest of the clan. More presents, food and good times. Kids of course had a great time opening more gifts and playing with all of them. Nati and Chris won both times with the new version of LCR. When we got back home I took Evie to minute clinic where they discovered that she too had an ear infection. Once she got some meds she perked up within a few days. Enjoy the pics

Christmas Day

Well Christmas morning started with Josh getting up at 7 and not being able to go back to sleep. So I got up and prepped breakfast, made coffee and waited for the kids to get up. That's right, we had to wait till 8:30 before we heard Aiden get up! We then got Evie up and the circus began. The kids had a blast and Aiden was VERY happy that Santa remembered the Polar Express. After we opened gifts we ate a quick breakfast. Then the day continued with Josh and I(mostly Josh)putting together all of Aiden's new legos from Santa! Took almost the entire day. While Evie was napping I took my new car for a spin and dropped by to see Karen. We made dinner, which Josh forgot about the pork chops on the grill and burnt them to a crisp. So Christmas dinner ended up being salad, potatoes and wine, oh and a couple strips of steak from the night before:) It was a great day and always so fun to see the kids so excited!
