Aiden's 5th Birthday Party

I can't believe that Aiden is already 5.  Where has the time gone? He had a great weekend.  On Saturday he went with Grandma and Grandpa Winkler and cousin Eli to Lego land downtown.  The boys had fun building Legos and both got to pick out one Lego to take home.  Then they went to Rainforest Cafe for lunch.  They had a great time and loved watching the animals while they ate.  On Sunday(his actual birthday) we made him egg sandwiches with chocolate chip muffins for breakfast.  After breakfast, he opened one gift and got an airport carrier from Grandma and Grandpa Wolfert.  Then we got ready and headed to the bowling alley to meet all his friends. The kids all had a blast bowling and throwing the balls down the aisle.  Then they had lunch and yummy cupcake cake.  Once the party was over, we headed back home to nap Evie and open more gifts.  Aiden got a lot of Lego's(which he loved) and many other cool gifts from all his friends and family. Josh has been busy all day trying to get all the Lego's put together but will need to finish the rest tomorrow.

We went to Toledo for Easter to see my family and visit with everyone. Friday night the kids got Easter baskets from Grandma and Grandpa Wolfert. As you can see from the pics the kids got sunglasses:) On Saturday, we got up and took the kids to the zoo and met a dear high school friend, Jill, and her sweet little daughter Paige. It was such a nice day and the kids had fun running around and seeing all the animals. We went on the train and the merry- go- round. After lunch Aiden helped Josh and Uncle DJ clean the car. He LOVED washing the car and being with the boys. Once Evie got up we all got ready and went to Saturday night church service. After church, we all had a ham dinner at Heidi and Dan's house. Once the kids went to bed, I set up the baskets in the hallway with a trail of candy leading from the bedroom to the baskets. When they woke up they were very excited to see all the candy and goodies. Evie was more interested in gathering all the candy on the way to the baskets:) Then Aunt Heidi and Uncle DJ gave them baskets as well so they were on a sugar high all morning. They were both eager to get outside and hunt for eggs. They had a blast hunting for eggs and Aiden wanted to know why the Easter bunny didn't hide more:) We then got packed up and headed back to Chicago. What a great weekend. Some of the pics beforehand are of the cousins coloring eggs. We did that on the Wed before Easter. Enjoy
