Summer

This summer went by way too fast and can't believe we are already into September. We had a great summer and enjoyed every minute of it. We had many beach days where the kids made lots of sand castles, roads and ditches. They loved playing in the waves and then getting ice cream from the man driving around his cart. On all the other hot days we enjoyed the pool. Aiden did great again this summer swimming and Evie learned to swim with no kick board or floaties. So next year should be a breeze with just teaching the baby all about the water. We also did Lincoln wood pool with either Colleen and her kids or Becky and her kids. Aiden LOVED the big water slide and Evie loved the mini slide. It was great!
We went to the zoo and saw many animals. The kids were able to meet Mr. Burns(the pony) and got to pet him before he went back to the barn.. They each got a pig as well to take home to remember the zoo day.
Aiden only did 2 camps this summer and loved both of them. He did church camp in July with his cousin Eli. They had a blast and were eager to show us all the things they did at the end of the week. Aiden also did the Bulls basketball camp at East Bank. He had a blast and learned many skills.
Evie learned to use the potty all by herself this summer so once she accomplished the big potty she got her nails done and a big cookie. So glad she tackled the potty quickly.
We had a great summer just hanging and playing all day. The hot weather was actually perfect because we were able to take advantage of the water, pool and the beach. It was truly a great summer!
Evie started gymnastics and soccer last week while Aiden started school. She loved both of them and as you can see from the pics she really liked the bouncy house at soccer. Enjoy the pics.

Well today was a success. It was Aiden's first day of Kindergarten. We had to get him up at 7, he quickly got dressed and then ate his breakfast while I packed up his lunch and snack for school. Then we were off to school, back pack stuffed with supplies, "me" bag, lunch box and snack. It was mass chaos at drop off. Lots of parents and crying kids. We stood outside on the field until his teacher was ready to walk in. Since every teacher was walking in at the same time I had to walk him, and some other students, all the way to the classroom since they had no clue where to go:) Aiden had a death grip on my hand but was totally fine when we got to his classroom. I was more of the basket case and had the tears, luckily Aiden didn't see them or he might have been consoling me:) Evie and I picked him up at 3 and he was excited to tell us all about his day. Big news was he has a boy named Eli in his class(just like his cousin). So proud of my big guy and looking forward to a great school year!
