Toledo

We went to Toledo last weekend to visit dad and Billie.  It was good to see dad and Billie loved snuggling little Laney.  Evie had a rough go on the way to Toledo and got sick in the car more than once.  As soon as we got to dad's she took a bath and went straight to bed(which was only 6:30).  We took Aiden to the Mud Hens game(Evie had to miss out since she was so sick) and met up with The Finkler's and The Tipping's.  It was a great night for the game and the kids had a blast.  They were all really good and at the end of the game they set off fireworks.  Aiden LOVED the fireworks!  We didn't get back till 11pm.  Billie did a great job watching the girls:)  The next day Evie felt much better and her and Aiden washed Grandpas car.  They wanted to make it really shiny.  The ride home was long between bathroom breaks and traffic but it was well worth it.

Mother's Day

Laney was dedicated on Mother's Day.  Heidi and Dan were her Prayer Partners.  It was a great day and feel so extremely blessed and thankful for Laney and also Aiden and Evie.  After dedication, we all went to eat brunch at The Gather.  The kids then gave me my gifts and cards.  The cards that Aiden made me were very sweet and made me feel like the best mom!  Josh got me a nice watch!  We went to Ballard's for dinner with all our good friends.  What a great Mother's Day.  God is Good.  Enjoy the pics.

Aiden's 6th Birthday

Aiden's 6th birthday was a blast!  He was able to pick one buddy to take to the Cubs game and of course he picked his cousin Eli:)  Josh picked Eli up after he got Aiden from school.  Josh got them matching baseball hats for the game.  Then we opened gifts here and then headed to Crosby's Kitchen for dinner.  It was such a great night so we were able to eat outside.  Becky and her 2 kiddos met us along with Brantley and little Brant.  It was quite the crew at dinner.  The kids all ate well and were ready to sing Happy Birthday to Aiden so they could dig into the yummy baseball cake. Then we headed to the game.  We had AMAZING seats right by home base.  Eli had lots of questions and was very curious about all the balls and if they would have enough and even enough bats.  During the 2nd inning a group of people(who worked for the cubs) came down and sang happy birthday to Aiden.  The whole crowd got into it and started singing.  They also gave Aiden a bag filled with a bunch of Cubs goodies.  This was all due to Hannah who works for the Cubs.  Towards the end of the game, Hannah came and sat with us, since she was still working, and got us on the field at the end of the game. The kids were so pumped(as were Josh and I). The kids lasted the entire time and did great.  Walking to the car the kids acted like they were a Choo Choo with Josh and did great sticking together.  What a great birthday for Aiden.  Feel so blessed to have Aiden in our lives.  It has been great to see him grow and learn new things.  Feel so blessed that he made me a mom 6 years ago.  Love you Aiden.  Enjoy the pics.

We went to Playa Da Carmen for Michelle and Adam's wedding.  It was a great get away and weather was perfect.  It was so fun celebrating and meeting new friends.  The wedding was right in front of the beach and was just perfect.  After the reception, they had flame throwers put on a show that was amazing.  At the very end of the reception, we all went to the beach and lit giant sparklers!  It was such a great time and fun celebrating a great couple.
