Evie's Big Day

Evie and I had some good one on one time today while Aiden is in MI visiting his grandparents. First we went and got our nails done. Evie insisted on the color blue bc it matched her dress:)After that we went to Sweet and Sassy where Evie was a brave girl and got her ears pierced. She was very excited and helped pick out the earrings she wanted to wear for the next 2 months. We picked out flowered ones. She got up onto her chair and the ladies told her what was going to take place. First they drew a smiley face on her hand and then they made the marks on her ears so that the earrings would be even. Then the ladies got piercing guns out and told her on the count of 3 whenever she was ready they would do it. She was ready, they put them in and she had some tears right away and wanted me to hold her. We all told her how brave she was and gave her a mirror to see. She instantly wiped the tears and had a smile. Then they ladies let her pick out a big lollipop again she wanted blue to match her dress:) They gave her a certificate and cleaning solution, which I will be doing every night for the next 2 months. After wards we purchased new running shoes for soccer and had lunch. Had a great day with my little girl and was so proud of her. When she got up from nap she said right away"mom my earrings are still in and my nails still look pretty". Definitely will cherish this day.
