Arrival of Laney

On Dec. 2nd we became a family of 5:)  We welcomed Laney Ann Winkler to our family and couldn't feel more blessed and thankful for this little miracle.  While in labor, I thought I would be having a boy but to our surprise we were blessed with another girl.  Labor seemed way more relaxed this time around and seemed to go quick once again.  Her heart rate did start to drop while pushing so we had to get her out quick.  Once she was out the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck but her lungs were working as soon as Dr. Garb unwrapped it from her tiny, little neck.  Dr. Garb was great and feel so lucky to have such a great doctor and I always know I am in good hands when he is in charge:)

Laney weighed in at 7lbs 9 ounces and 19 inches long.  She has been our smallest baby so far.  Once we were able to hold her, it was instant love and the name game began.  We didn't name her till later that night since we were debating between so many names.

We headed to our room where everyone was waiting to meet Laney.  Big brother(Aiden) and Big sis(Evie) showed up with Aunt Heidi and Grandma and Grandpa Winkler. Uncle Chris and Aunt Nati came by as well.  The kids each got a gift from Laney and opened them as soon as they saw them. We then ordered sushi and had what Aiden called our "Sushi Feast." Then we celebrated her birthday by having a big cookie cake.

After everyone left Josh and I had her name narrowed down to 2 decisions and debated back and forth for about an hour and then finally agreed on Laney Ann Winkler.  We couldn't have asked for a better Christmas gift.  Enjoy pics of our new nugget:)
